🌌 EVENT 2: The Debris Field
Location: Classified (Deep Space Debris Field)
Vibe: Tactical / High Intensity
Objective: Zero-G Capture the Flag (CTF)
Welcome to the void. In Event 2, we leave the gravity of Daymar behind for a brutal Capture the Flag competition set within a 1 square km area. Teams will start on an Apollo equipped with T3 beds such that there is 6 total beds to choose from. Teams should do their best to spread out among the 6 beds so in the event they have multiple respawns at the same time, they are not all clogging up 1 or 2 beds. Medgel will be provided by the event staff. Extra Apollos can also be provided in the event a team does not have access to one. Apollos will be staged as follows:
If we have 2 teams, 1km apart at opposite end of the debris field.
If we have 3 teams, at equal distances in a triangle layout around the debris field.
If we have 4 teams, at each corner of the 1 square km debris field.
Teams will be fighting FPS Zero-G (think Enders Game) in a debris field over 5 rounds with 1 objective, Capture the Flag (Pico), return it to the cockpit of your teams Apollo where a container will be waiting for it. Your team must then hold it for 5 minutes. The team that holds it in their bridge for 5 minutes wins the round.
There are only 2 rules:
1. The PICO, once acquired, must be held in a players hands while heading back to base. It cannot be placed in a backpack. This ensures all players can recognize it has been taken.
2. FPS weapons only! The use of turret guns, fighters, or any ships/vehicles/hover bikes of any sort is not allowed.
In the event the PICO goes missing mid match (hey, this is SC, strange things can happen) we will have no choice but to provide a fresh PICO and re-start the round.
The PICO location will be near the center of the debris field during each round but it will not be located in the same exact position each time.
🎮 THE MISSION

Objective: Retrieve the Flag (PICO) from the center of the debris field and deliver it to your team’s Apollo. The PICO will be in a 1 SCU storage box in the center of the field. Players cannot move the box, they must approach the box, and place the PICO directly in their hands from the box.

The Environment: A dense field of derelict/destroyed ship hulls, derelict cargo containers and asteroids providing complex line-of-sight and ambush opportunities.

Format: Multi-team round based combat. For Rounds 1 and 2, there are "infinite respawns". For Round 3, 10 maximum respawns are allowed. For Round 4, 5 maximum respawns are allowed. For Round 5, it is permadeath when you die.
NOTE: When your team runs out of respawns, any respawning players must wait inside the medical modules on the Apollo until the round is over. You are basically considered dead and cannot move around the ship or the debris field until the next round starts.
🛠️ OFFICIAL LOADOUT

Movement: Use of the Tractor Beam and Fire Extinguisher are allowed for rapid traversal. Remember, the PICO must be held by a player. You cannot use a tractor beam to handle/fling or otherwise move the PICO or whatever container it is being held in.

Weaponry: FPS weapons only.

Turrets, ships, vehicles/hovercraft of any kind are not allowed.

📈 EVENT-SPECIFIC BONUSES

Flag Capture: 5 Points to each team member.

Flag Denial: 4 Points (If you kill the enemy team member carrying the flag back to their base).

Sniper Kills: 4 Points (Confirmed kills from 250+ meters).
